Having completed my master’s in economics right before the pandemic hit, I too fell head first into baking and loved that I could freely experiment with all of the recipes in my never-ending cake book. Despite the unconventional banker to baker route, my degree has greatly helped in developing a business strategy. Upon searching for gift ideas and florists being shut, it occurred to me that I could encapsulate flowers in the form of buttercream on my deliciously moist cupcakes. With only a year’s experience under my belt I have managed to recreate a plethora of flowers, cacti and succulents and I don’t see myself stopping! Essex Bouqcakes is growing day by day and I am so excited to see how far I can go.
